Police Clearance Certificate - PCC
This is a document issued by the Consulate certifying that the applicant has never been involved with the Indian police, and is normally required when you apply for emigration status to countries such as Australia, USA, Canada etc.
The normal procedure for issuing a PCC is that the High Commission checks with the police authorities in the area(s) in India where you had been residing, and issues the PCC after obtaining their clearance.

| Foreign nationals applying for PCC are required to state the period of stay in India. Documentary proof of stay to be provided viz: Study/ Work certificates etc. | ||
